Régnez sur la Galaxie ! Bâtissez votre propre royaume galactique. Améliorez votre puissance militaire grâce au commerce et envoyez votre armada de vaisseaux de guerre protéger ce qui vous appartient et conquérir ce qui ne vous appartient pas encore ! Principe du jeu: Chaque joueur commence avec 50 points d'Influence ainsi qu'un deck personnel de 10 vaisseaux, dans lequel il pioche 5 cartes (3 pour le premier joueur) pour constituer sa main de départ. Le but du jeu est de réduire l'Influence de l'adversaire à zéro. 5 cartes sont également disposées entre les joueurs pour former l’espace de commerce. À votre tour, jouez autant de cartes de votre main que vous le souhaitez. Lorsqu’ils sont mis en jeu, les Vaisseaux et les Bases déclenchent des effets qui vous permettent d'acquérir de nouvelles cartes et d’attaquer votre adversaire. Construisez votre deck avec finesse en choisissant vos cartes parmi les 4 factions du jeu, et déclenchez ainsi de puissants combos ! La terrifiante flotte Blob apporte une puissance de frappe dévastatrice, les troupes de la Fédération du Commerce permettent de restaurer votre Influence, les machines du Techno-Culte sont spécialisées dans l'épurement de deck et enfin, l'armée de l'Empire Galactique aide à piocher plus de cartes et à en faire défausser à vos adversaires. Tous les vaisseaux joués sont défaussés à la fin de votre tour tout comme les cartes achetées et celles qu'il vous reste en main. Les bases restent devant vous, jusqu'à ce qu'elles soient détruites par vos adversaires et peuvent même parfois vous protéger de leurs attaques. Repiochez toujours 5 cartes à la fin de votre tour. Réduisez à zéro l’Influence de vos ennemis et vous remporterez la partie !

A familiar story, just with…..less.

So, as other reviewers make clear, this is very similar to Pack Darling and The Beta. It’s much closer aligned with The Beta, in plot and maybe more like Pack Darling with characters. That being said, I don’t hate this…..but it wasn’t great either. It’s both books mentioned but just….less. Less angst, less emotion, less feeling. The plot feels very half fleshed out, and the “bad guy” feels underwhelming. I didn’t really feel any real emotions from and of the male leads, except maybe Oliver. The others fell sorta flat for me. And Mika makes herself out to be this big bad ass straight outta training and then we never see it from here again with the one fitting room incident as the exception. SPOILER: The whole, “Oh, I’m actually probably an Omega, but I don’t wanna be but I do actually wanna be but no one can ever know my secret that I do nothing to hide “ thing fell so flat. She never commutes to believing she was secretly an omega, but also mentions her “secret” a lot. It just felt so manufactured. I’m intrigued enough to read part 2 and see how the author closes everything out, but this is not one I’ll recommend or ever come back to.
