Installation Guide

This guard attaches to the outboard motor's cavitation plate and skeg. It is designed for motors where the measurement from the prop shaft to the underside of the cavitation plate is 6.5" to 7.5". Installation requires drilling.

1. Position the guard on the underside of the cavitation plate, ensuring there is equal distance between the guard and the propeller blades.
2. Position the guard as far forward on the cavitation plate as possible for optimal protection and performance.
3. If your motor has a trim tab located under the cavitation plate, it must be removed before installing the guard.
4. Drill 6 holes through the cavitation plate and the guard on each side.
5. Insert the provided bolts, washers, and nuts, and only loosely tighten them at this stage.
6. Drill one final hole through the lower skeg, insert the corresponding bolt, washer, and nut, and tighten it securely.
7. Once the skeg bolt is secure, proceed to tighten all the cavitation plate bolts evenly.
