It was created by co crystallizing acetaminophen crystals, found in Tylenol, and salicylic acid crystals, found in aspirin. The crystals were grown by evaporation on a microscope slide and photographed through a microscope. The crystal facets create the colors naturally by refraction of the transmitted light through the prism like crystals.
