Ultimate 1000 Petal Lotus is a tall, large lotus with fabulous, multi-petal blooms. One of the most incredible lotus we sell! This many petaled lotus is sure to be a favorite of yours, as well as ours!  This lotus has so many petals-- it takes days to open! We usually help it along and open this one by hand! Discovered by Dr. Daike Tian in China in 2009, this is a remarkable lotus and a treasure to own!

How to plant your lotus

Plant this beauty in a very wide container (24 - 48 inches wide) using loam soil and place where it will receive 8 - 12 hours of sunlight daily. Add four inches of water above the soil. Do not fertilize until you have aerial leaves.

How to fertilize your lotus

Wait until your lotus has aerial leaves to begin fertilizing your lotus. Fertilize this lotus regularly to maintain the rich color in the petals. If not fertilized properly, the color will fade. We recommend Waterlily World Fertilizer Tabs for optimum growth, best bloom and ease of use. Simply press the tabs into the soil near the roots of your lotus, taking care not to damage the roots. Fertilize throughout the growing/blooming season (June through September), with the last dose of fertilizer in early September. This allows your lotus to go into dormancy naturally.

Add in a great cast of characters, some glitches in the whole life swap arrangement, the beautifully described setting and a hard earned happy ending, and you end up with another awesome read from Cheyenne!
