Nathan Larson — "Mountain Cabin III Sepia Crop". This evocative sepia-toned composition by Nathan Larson exemplifies a contemporary engagement with the tradition of American landscape photography, particularly the romanticized depictions of the frontier found in the works of early 20th-century photographers like Ansel Adams and W. Eugene Smith. Larson’s work, while clearly modern in its digital execution, deliberately eschews the high-contrast clarity of classic fine art photography in favor of a more atmospheric, tonal approach. The use of a monochromatic sepia palette is a conscious stylistic choice that aligns the piece with the aesthetic of vintage photographic prints and early pictorialist movements, lending it a sense of historical gravitas. Compositionally, the artwork adheres to a centered, minimal structure, with the cabin positioned as a small, almost imperceptible focal point in the lower third of the frame. This placement emphasizes the overwhelming scale of the natural environment, creating a powerful sense of solitude and insignificance that is central to the American sublime. The negative space, comprising the expansive sky and rolling hills, is not merely empty but actively contributes to the narrative, suggesting vastness and quiet contemplation. The visual texture of the image, with its soft gradients and subtle tonal variations, is achieved through sophisticated digital manipulation, allowing Larson to achieve a painterly quality that is both realistic and idealized. This work is not merely a documentation of a place but a meditation on the human relationship with the natural world—a quiet, reflective piece that resonates with themes of isolation, endurance, and the enduring beauty of the untamed landscape. For more art by Nathan Larson click here.

It's one of the only toys that we originally got for our pup that has lasted
Color: Blue goose - pineapple plush
We got a lab mix (we think with a Great Dane) on Labor Day weekend 2025. She has destroyed 100% of the toys we got her that weekend, with the exception of this duck. Yes, it is missing it's feet at this point (they got chewed off and torn sometime around Halloween), but the duck itself is still intact. She chews on the duck every day, it's one of her favorite toys, and it's seen some things. We've washed it a few times in the laundry machine, and it looks nice a clean every time we pull it out and let it dry. She's gnawed on it through losing puppy teeth and getting adult teeth, and she's is currently chewing away on her duck on her bed in the living room.
I understand others have reported really mixed reviews, but I'm so glad we got this duck and it's one of the only toys we've bought that I feel like was worth the price because it didn't get destroyed immediately. We plan on buying another one for Christmas.

My Dog Hates It, Yours Might Like It
Color: Blue goose - pineapple plush
Material is nice, squeaker is not that great. My dog hates this toy and refuses to interact with it I've tried multiple times to get him to play with it and he'll immediately stop playing if I touch this toy and try to get him to play with it.

Not worth the purchase
Color: Blue goose - pineapple plush
Not for aggressive chewers, my GWP destroyed this in 30 mins. The fins are completely gone and he’s already disinterested. There are better options out there.

Color: Blue goose - pineapple plush, Color: Blue goose - pineapple plush
My dog loved this toy, however it is not indestructible, he had it in 2 pieces within a day, but I do need to say he is a big boy and we haven’t found a toy yet that he can’t destroy
