These retainers are made from "thru hardened" 4140 chrome moly material and have been machined to give an extra 0. 030 clearance to the valve stem seal. They're engineered to work in conjunction with stock valve train

These retainers are made from "thru-hardened" 4140 chrome moly material and have been machined to give an extra 0.030 clearance to the valve stem seal. They're engineered to work in conjunction with stock valve-train components and several other beehive type valve springs.
