The Domaine had been abandoned for a generation, the vines unmanaged and the buildings in ruins. They managed to save 2 parcels of old vines, La Montagne and la Vieille Vignes.

In 2019, Pierre Boisseau and oenologue Florian Zuliani joined the Domaine. They purchased a further 3 hectares to make 6 hectares in total.

The archaic French wine laws have kept some vignerons from pushing the boundaries of what has been capable in this famous sweet wine region. These dry wines are labelled with the humble Vin de France label. They are farmed with organic practices and have minimal sulphur additions resulting in a wide spectrum of aromas and elements.

The 'Frimas' is 100% Chenin Blanc in a wonderful concentrated style which maximises the fruit potential of this amazing grape while still remaining fresh and exciting. Big limey, green apple attack leads to a mouthful of creamy concentration with hints of honey and apricot. The finish really stands out, long and limey, persistent and full of vitality.
