As a teenager taking pictures of fellow surfers in 1960s La Jolla, Jeff Divine got to know the original alternative sport before the X-Games were even a gleam in a producer's eye. Through this rare collection of photographs from the momentous decade that followed, he conveys the feeling of being on the beach in its most creative era, being present at the inception of a subculture too large and photogenic to stay down long. The style, the athleticism and the escapism in these images will be familiar to those with even a lazy eye on pop surfing is on the rise again. Of its first time around, Divine says, "Yes, I had long hair. And Pendletons, Mexican wedding shirts, bell bottoms, Wallabies, Zig Zags and tuna, wheat bread, and sprouts in the fridge. Santana, The Dead, Jesse Colin Young, Steppenwolf, Moby Grape, The Stones, Beatles and Clifton Chenier on the stereo. Hippie seamstresses made us custom shirts with embroidered necks and coconut buttons. I had a beaded curtain through which you entered my den. No, I didn't have any black light posters, but I did have the Juan O. Gorman poster "Flores Imaginarias" and Ortner at 3M's on the wall. Reading material? The Life Photography Series, The Tibetan Book of the Dead, M.C. Escher art books, Zap comics, or the Carlos Castaneda series. But our prize possessions were our garage-made surfboards all lined up in the side yard. They mattered the most."

Adjustable Support for Side Sleeping
Size: Body(Pack of 1), Color: White
The pillow is long and full, filled with shredded memory foam, and the cover feels smooth with a sturdy zipper. When I adjusted the fill, the foam shifted easily and settled without clumping, which made it simple to fine-tune the firmness. I ordered this pillow for extra joint support. In use, it stayed in place overnight and kept my hips and shoulders better aligned, especially when sleeping on my side. Memory foam naturally contours to pressure, which helps with joint support, but it can also hold a bit of warmth after several hours. The washable cover came off cleanly and went back on without stretching. It performed consistently and felt comfortable for daily sleep, and the adjustable fill and stable support explain the positive overall evaluation. This is a long pillow and takes up a lot of space, but it's comfortable and durable and easy to use. (Review is for HOMELAB Adjustable Shredded Memory Foam Body Pillow, 20x54 Long Pillow for Back)

Worth every penny
Size: Body Pillow & Pillowcase, Color: White
This thing is awesome. The pillow case is super soft too. You do need to let it unfold and air it out a bit, it’s present but not overwhelming but I think that applies to similar products. I use it when I lounge in bed. I have a king-size bed. I put it under my knees when I lay down and lay back, propped up a bit to watch movies. It’s perfect.

Better than snuggling a spouse.
Size: Body Pillow & Pillowcase, Color: White
This pillow is, can I say, 'dreamy?' It is so cushy and the cover is like buttery soft velvet. I was afraid it would be lumpy with the shredded foam filling, but it's not at all. It holds its shape and ensures a good nights' sleep. One thing, the box it came in said "Feather and Down," which almost made me send it back unopened, thinking they sent the wrong item. The pillow comes shrink-wrapped into an unbelievably small size, so there's little chance of getting it back in the box once opened. It does puff up to full size in just a matter of a couple minutes. Great purchase.

Too bulky
Size: Body Pillow & Pillowcase, Color: White
It is too big and not easy to squish or manipulate it to squish it into the shape you want it to fit to my body.
