Chet Baker Quartet – Chet Baker in Paris, Vol 1

Step into the world of Parisian jazz with Chet Baker in Paris, Vol 1, recorded at the legendary Studio Pathé-Magellan in October 1955. This is the first of three recordings Chet Baker made for the Barclay label, capturing a significant moment in his European career. The album features eight compositions by Bob Zieff, which were previously recorded by Dick Wetmore but given new life in this session with Chet's unmistakable trumpet sound. Despite not having played these compositions in front of an audience before, Baker delivers an intricate performance alongside pianist Dick Twardzik, bassist Jimmy Bond, and drummer Peter Littman.

Remastered from the original mono master tapes, this 180-gram vinyl pressing brings out the best of Chet Baker’s early Parisian recordings. Pressed in Germany by Optimal using the Pallas Metal Mothers, the album is beautifully packaged as a facsimile reissue with original photos by Jean-Pierre Leloir. With its historical significance and unmatched sound quality, this record is a must-have for any serious jazz collector.

Key Features:

  • Remastered from the original mono master tapes for superior sound quality
  • 180-gram vinyl pressed by Optimal in Germany using Pallas Metal Mothers
  • Facsimile reissue with original session photos by Jean-Pierre Leloir

Great tape for sublimation!

Love love this tape. I used amber colored tape in the past and the color would transfer onto what I was making. This sticks well, is wide so it adds extra durability, and does not transfer color! If you’re just starting your sublimation journey, I highly recommend using this tape!

Great tape for using with a heat press. It doesn’t leave any marks and comes up easy. I use it for taping down sublimation stuff and have had no issues on slate, shirts, metal or anything I’ve made it sticks well and comes off easy.
