Reproduction of Gilded Grey III Indigo and White Crop by Chris Paschke
Chris Paschke — "Gilded Grey III Indigo and White Crop" is a compelling example of contemporary geometric abstraction that engages with the legacy of mid-century modernism while asserting a distinctly personal and meditative aesthetic. The work’s composition, structured around horizontal bands of indigo and white, reflects a deep understanding of balance and spatial harmony, echoing the principles of artists like Agnes Martin and Donald Judd, yet diverges through its subtle use of metallic gold, which introduces a tactile and luminous quality. The visual structure is defined by a sparse yet deliberate arrangement of lines and fields, where the negative space is not merely an absence but an active element of the composition, contributing to a sense of quiet contemplation. The color palette, dominated by cool indigo and crisp white, is executed with a restrained palette temperature that enhances the work’s serene and introspective mood. The contrast level is moderate, allowing the eye to move fluidly between the bands without visual strain, a technique that underscores the artist’s mastery of tonal gradation. In its pursuit of simplicity and elegance, the piece transcends mere decoration, functioning as a visual meditation on the beauty of minimalism and the profound impact of space and light. Its historical context lies in the ongoing dialogue between abstraction and nature, where the horizontal bands can be interpreted as both a formal device and a metaphor for natural phenomena such as horizons or layered geological strata. This duality of meaning—formal and symbolic—elevates the work beyond a mere arrangement of color and line, positioning it as a significant contribution to the ongoing evolution of abstract art in the 21st century. For more art by Chris Paschke click here.

Good Pillows to Show Off Decorative Pillow Shams
Size: Queen - 20"*30" (pack of 2), Color: Grey
Although we have queen-sized beds, we typically use standard-sized pillows. One of the quilt sets I got this Christmas time came with queen sized pillow shams, and the standard pillows just didn't fill them properly. I could have sewn flanges on either side of the shams, but I decided to order these pillows instead. The are almost wide enough to fully fill those shams that started all this additional purchasing. (I also ended up ordering pillow protectors for the queen sized pillows.)
The pillows are fluffy and substantial for now. My husband manages to flatten out pillows almost no matter how they start our. For now, so far so good. They re a medium-weight and fullness, I would say. They do a good job of showing off the pillow sham design, so that's a plus. I'm not planning for us to sleep on them, but they are added back support while watching TV. They are primarily for decorative purposes when the bed is made with the quilt and shams. They were a reasonable value for the intended purpose.
