The always-on display brightness and sustained processing during video calls, multitasking, and streaming all contribute to battery degradation over time. If your iPad 10 is noticeably shorter on battery than it used to be, the cell is the most likely cause.
Signs your iPad 10 battery may need replacing
Check battery health in Settings, General, About on your iPad 10 to see the current maximum capacity.
- Battery draining significantly faster than it used to
- Device shutting down unexpectedly, particularly at lower charge percentages
- Only running reliably when connected to power throughout the day
- Battery percentage dropping suddenly or behaving inconsistently
- Device getting warm during normal use or charging
- Screen lifting slightly from the chassis, which can indicate a swollen battery

How to confirm your model
Go to Settings, General, About, Model Number and check the model number.
This repair covers: A2696, A2757, A2777.
The model number is also printed near the bottom edge on the back of the device. If you are unsure, bring the device in and we will confirm before starting any work.
The iPad 10 uses USB-C for charging.

- Battery replacement: We remove the existing battery and fit the replacement, then reseal and reassemble the device carefully.
- Testing: We run a full post-repair check covering power, charging, and all core functions before your device is returned.
- Collect or return post: Pick up in store or we return your device securely by tracked post.
Before you book
- If the chassis is bent or the device has been previously opened, we will advise on any complications before starting
- If there has been liquid exposure, a battery replacement may not resolve all issues. We confirm our findings before proceeding
- If the screen is lifting slightly, book as soon as possible. This can indicate a swollen battery that needs urgent attention
- If the device is completely dead, we carry out a diagnosis before confirming the repair
