The MacBook Air 11-inch A1370 was a breakthrough in portable computing when it launched in 2010. Its 35Wh battery is now well over a decade old and almost certainly well below its original capacity. Many of these machines are still in use as lightweight travel companions or secondary computers, but the original battery performance is simply not achievable after this many years of charge cycles. Signs your MacBook Air 11" A1370 battery may need replacing
The A1370 was powered by Intel Core 2 Duo and later Sandy Bridge processors. The 11-inch compact form factor meant the 35Wh battery was worked hard from day one. At this age, capacity degradation is the expected outcome rather than the exception.

How to confirm your model
Go to Apple Menu > About This Mac > System Report > Hardware Overview to check your model identifier.
This repair covers: A1370, EMC 2471.
The model number is also printed on the underside of the machine near the hinge. If you are unsure, bring the MacBook in and we will confirm the model before starting any work.
This model uses a MagSafe 1 connector for charging. If the MagSafe connection feels loose or intermittent, that is a separate fault from the battery and we will assess both during the repair.

Before you book
- If the chassis is bent or the machine has been previously opened, we will advise on any complications before starting
- If there has been liquid exposure, a battery replacement may not resolve all issues. We confirm our findings before proceeding
- If the screen is lifting slightly from the chassis, book as soon as possible. This can indicate a swollen battery that needs urgent attention
- If the machine is completely dead, we carry out a diagnosis before confirming the repair
