Since 1999, the Grammy-nominated southern rock band Needtobreathe have quietly emerged as a dynamic force in music, from releasing their debut album with Atlantic Records in 2006 to finding themselves playing arenas and receiving nominations for multiple Dove, Grammy, and Billboard Music Awards. When their second album, The Heat, was released in 2007, it reached #164 on the Billboard 200, and was nominated for Rock/ Contemporary Album of the Year at the GMA Dove Awards. The song "More Time" was featured in the film P.S. I Love You. As Chad Bonham of CCM Magazine noted, the album "will appeal to any fans of solid pop-driven rock music that features the rare combination of solid musicianship and lyrical genius."
