If you don't have enough of the good bacteria, it may become difficult for the body to fight pathogens. That's why many folks supplement with probiotics, in addition to a bountiful, whole food diet.

Smidge® Probiotic capsules are ideal if you've used probiotics in the past and are at a more advanced stage of digestive healing — and want to keep maintaining a healthy gut.* You may have experienced some benefits of probiotic supplements but want more, or wanting more than your current probiotic is delivering.

This little capsule holds 13 clinically-proven probiotic strains for gut health; 12 human strains and one plant strain (L. rhamnosus, L. casei, L. acidophilus, L. paracasei, L. brevis, L. gasseri, L. salivarius, B. bifidum, B. breve, B. infantis, B. longum, B. lactis — and the green guy, L. plantarum).

Dosage:

Adults: Always start with a smidge! Start with one capsule daily with food. Then take two capsules together, or as directed by a certified healthcare practitioner (see low and slow note below). 

Children: Take one capsule daily with food.

Sensitive individuals: For an even smaller dose, pull the capsule apart for only a portion of the powder.

Start low and slow: Our supplements are premium, pure and potent. Therefore, it's critically important to start slowly, with a lower dosage than recommended. For example, a minimal dose every other day, or even once a week, until you can determine how the supplement affects your body and what feels right for you.

How to take: For best absorption, we recommend taking your probiotic with a meal or a spoonful of organic fat, like butter, ghee, emu oil or coconut oil.

Smidge® probiotics contain active freeze-dried bacteria, versus live cultures. Unlike live cultures, which can be destroyed in transit by heat, freeze-dried bacteria hold up well in warm weather, as they remain intact and stable with all of their beneficial properties. This means your probiotics will arrive in optimal condition. (Then once you receive your package, you can put them in the fridge.)
