Primaloft 400g insulation provides excellent warmth across the whole foot, while the Gore-Tex lining provides the ultimate barrier to all weather conditions. Thanks to the LOWA Flexfit, feet can roll more effectively and naturally as the upper of a hiking boot can bend more easily, saving energy and increasing comfort. The boots eyelets have been repositioned, and a flexible lace hook has been used too that improves heel comfort and facilitates bending. The Vibram ALP TRAC® ICE sole unit has been optimised for use in high alpine terrain, with a high tread depth and Vibram rubber compound combining to providing solid grip, while the climbing zone at the front ensures precision grip. The sturdy midsole means the Alpine Expert II is compatible with a fully automatic crampon.
