The carpenter's square has long been an indispensable tool in Japanese construction and a mark of a master craftsman's skill and technique. It’s a dynamic measurement tool with uses that go beyond merely scribing a line.

This Shinwa Carpenter's Square features a metal 90/45 degree stopper, so you can use it for marking parallel to an edge or at 45 degrees, as a caliper, or turn the stopper the other way around and use it as a height gauge. The stopper is die-cast with an etched vernier scale, a captive locking screw and a copper wear plate to protect the edges of the square.

Additional valuable details include a hard chrome matte finish and a stainless steel body hardened to Hv320+ for the perfect balance of stability and springiness, with no worries about rusty fingermarks. It can be used like a framing square, with one leg hanging over an edge and its face acting as a stop. It also has the benefit of deeply etched imperial and metric graduations as well as scales on the inside and outside of both faces.

The versatility of this tool makes it a valuable addition to your workshop. Beyond its functions as a square, it can also be used for table saw setup, blade height checks and more.

Features:

  • Ideal for various marking, measuring and setup processes in the shop
  • Hard chrome (matte processed) finish reduces light reflection for an easy-to-read scale
  • Metal-bodied stopper is resistant to impact, wear and heat
  • Stopper securely fits against the workpiece, allowing for a stable scribed line to be drawn without slipping
  • 45° scribed line can be drawn quickly by changing the position of the stopper
  • Use the stopper’s vernier caliper to measure the thickness or diameter of an item or workpiece
  • Vernier scale allows for fine measurements in 1/16" or 0.1 mm increments
  • Mount the stopper upside down to measure height or depth
  • Etched imperial and metric graduations
  • Square's long branch has a hole for a strap
  • Made in Japan

Huge Upgrade!!!
After just a week of using this mouse, I can confidently say this is the best peripheral purchase I have ever made. I initially wasn't in the market for a new mouse, until my scroll wheel broke on my razer mouse. I decided to just pull the trigger on the X2 Superstrike instead of purchasing another razer mouse. The mouse material feel is excellent, and the wheel is great as well. I've also seen some reviews disliking the skates on the X2 Superstrike, however I personally found them to be great. The haptic feedback mouse click seemed a bit gimmicky before I actually used it. Right off the bat, the mouse click feels incredibly responsive and similar to that of any high quality mouse. You get enough feedback and it doesn't feel that much different from a regular mouse click. But, you also have optionality to adjust a ton of settings, like accuation, feedback strength, etc. For gaming, with the right settings, this genuinely feels amazing, and that's before the performance upgrade. As many other reviewers have noted, it noticeably decreases latency on top of all of this. Another huge perk with this mouse I found, was that it's almost dead silent as well. No more loud clicking! My only critique with the mouse are the side buttons and the size. The side buttons are the only part of the mouse that feel "cheap". Because I use the side buttons often in competitive games, I notice it a lot more than probably most people would. I also have large hands, and this is the smallest mouse I have used. I got used to it pretty quick, but the mouse is on the smaller side. Nonetheless, if you are looking to upgrade your mouse and have the money, I would 100% recommend. This feels as impactful as going from a 60hz monitor to a 144hz+.

Works so well I got a second one!
Size: One Size
I rarely write reviews but I came here specifically because this mouse is great! As someone who is technologically challenged I appreciate everything about it-- I bought one of these 5 years ago and use it heavily everyday, it still works like a dream which is why I bought a second one to use on a separate computer. Started using this new one and it was just as easy to set up as the first one, just plugged in the USB piece and was able to use it immediately, no further setup required. As a bonus, it already came with batteries like the last one did (by the way I never turn off my 5 year old mouse and the same batteries are still in it working great). Smooth operation, ergonomic, easy to use, and portable!

Size: One Size
This is a great mouse !!! I purchased it almost 6 months ago and it is still working smoothly. I found that Logitech has great products that last. I like all 5 of the functions and use them all on a regular basis. This is perfect for right handed people as it has great gripping as well as fits nicely in my hand

Have to use the USB Receiver on the Front of Your PC
Size: One Size
This is a great mouse as long as you plug the little USB receiver into the front of your pc and not the back. Plugged into a front port, and the thing just flew, smooth as silk. I moved the receiver to a port on the back, and it got choppy, would freeze, and was really slow.
