Anti-spill · No mess · No stress

Most spills happen in the first ten seconds — the bowl gets nudged, the dog drinks fast, the floor takes the hit. The PawSteady™ fixes this with a single floating disc that lets your dog drink as much as they want, but holds the water flat when the bowl gets bumped, tipped, or jolted. Same bowl. No puddle.

This anti-spill dog water bowl uses a free-floating disc that sits on the water’s surface. As your dog drinks, the disc rises and falls with them — water comes through a central drinking hole and a paw-print cut-out, but lateral movement (the bowl getting nudged in the kitchen, knocked by an excitable Lab, jolted in the back of the car) doesn’t slosh out. It’s the same passive splash-control mechanism used in working-dog feeding stations, scaled down for a household bowl.

The shape is a rounded square rather than a circle — sits flat against a kitchen wall or a car footwell without rolling, gives more usable surface area than a round bowl of the same footprint, and looks like furniture rather than feeding equipment. Two-tone construction throughout: a coloured upper section in your chosen variant, paired with a cream-white base.

Three colour options — teal blue, stone grey, dusky pink, each paired with a cream-white base. The bowl reads like a piece of homeware rather than a plastic afterthought. Pick the one that disappears into your kitchen, or the one that lifts it.

Variant A · Classic

Teal Blue

Bright teal upper, cream base. The most playful of the three — lifts a kitchen rather than disappearing into it.

Variant B · Most popular

Stone Grey

Soft grey upper, cream base. The neutral — disappears into wood, marble, slate, concrete, tile.

Variant C · Soft

Dusky Pink

Warm pink upper, cream base. Cuts the “all-grey-everything” feel of modern kitchens. Popular as a second bowl in a multi-pet home.

Which size dog is it for?

The PawSteady™ suits small and medium dogs and cats — Frenchies, Cockers, Cavaliers, Beagles, Spaniels, Whippets, all the household and travel-companion breeds. Large breeds (Labs, GSDs, Goldens) can use it but tend to drain it fast — consider the 2-pack or check our larger bowls.

What you get in the box

  • 1 × PawSteady™ bowl — in your chosen colour (blue, grey, or pink)
  • 1 × Free-floating splash disc — pre-fitted, lifts out for cleaning
  • Free worldwide tracked delivery — tracked end-to-end, 30-day no-quibble returns

How it works in three steps

1 Fill the bowl with water — up to roughly two-thirds full. Don’t overfill; the disc needs surface room to float.
2 Drop the floating disc in — it sits on the surface with a central drinking hole. Self-levels in seconds.
3 Place it — kitchen, car footwell, crate. Your dog drinks normally through the central hole; the disc rises and falls with the water level and damps lateral movement.

Honest fit note:

This is splash control, not zero-leakage. If the bowl is fully tipped over, it will spill — the floating disc reduces lateral slosh from bumps, jolts, and overenthusiastic drinking, not 100% containment.

For sealed travel use (rucksack, kit bag, walks), look at our PawTrek™ collapsible silicone travel bowl instead. The PawSteady™ is purpose-built for stationary surfaces — floors, footwells, crate floors, kitchen tile.

Size at a glance

Outer base 22 cm / 8.66 in — rounded square
Top opening 18.5 cm / 7.28 in — tapered slightly inward
Height 8 cm / 3.15 in
Practical fill ~1.5 L (don’t fill to the brim — the disc needs surface room to float)

For reference: the bowl footprint is roughly the size of a paperback book laid flat. Sits comfortably in a standard car footwell, on a kitchen worktop, or beside a feeding mat.

Where it earns its keep

The PawSteady™ is at its best in three specific scenarios where a regular bowl fails:

In the back of the car. Tracked deliveries, weekend drives, vet trips. The disc holds the water flat through corners, brake lights, and motorway lane changes — arrive with a hydrated dog and a dry boot liner.

For overenthusiastic drinkers. Labs, Springers, Cockers, anyone whose dog dunks half their face and shakes off afterwards. The disc means most of the splash stays inside the bowl.

In multi-pet kitchens. Cat-and-dog households where the cat keeps tipping the dog’s bowl. The PawSteady™ is heavier-bottomed than a standard bowl and the disc reduces the “splash play” instinct that makes water bowls a cat target in the first place.

Day to day: rinse the bowl and the disc separately under warm water. The disc lifts straight out — no clips, no twists.

Weekly: a quick wash with mild dish soap. Avoid abrasive scourers — they can scratch the plastic and create biofilm pockets.

Dishwasher: top rack only (TBC — supplier confirmation pending; in the meantime hand-wash recommended).

Replace the disc if it warps, cracks, or stops floating level — rare, but it can happen with sustained dishwasher heat or being trodden on.

Common questions

Will it actually stop spills, or is it more of a “reduces” thing?

Honestly — it dramatically reduces splash from bumps, jolts, and fast drinkers, which covers about 95% of how spills actually happen. It does not prevent spills if the bowl is fully tipped over, e.g. if a dog stands on the rim or a child knocks it from height. Treat it as splash control, not as a sealed container.

Can I use it for dry food too?

Yes — lift the floating disc out and the bowl is a standard dry-food dish. The disc isn’t designed for kibble (it’s a water-only mechanism), so just remove it for meals.

Is it safe for cats?

Yes — the central drinking hole works fine for cats, and many cats find the floating disc less startling than a regular full bowl (cats are sensitive to surface reflections). Pick the size up off the floor for shorter-faced cats; otherwise no issue.

What size dog will it fit?

The bowl is 22 cm wide at the base, 18.5 cm at the top opening, and 8 cm tall — practical fill around 1.5 L. Best for small and medium dogs — Frenchies, Cockers, Cavaliers, Beagles, Spaniels, Whippets, Westies, Shih-Tzus, plus most cats. Larger dogs (Labs, GSDs, Goldens, Retrievers) can use it but tend to drain it quickly — consider the 2-pack so there’s always a full one available.

How does the floating disc work, mechanically?

It’s a passive design — no batteries, no springs, no moving parts. The disc is a buoyant plate that sits on the water surface with a central drinking hole and a paw-print cut-out. When the bowl is bumped, the disc moves with the water rather than letting it slosh up and out. As the dog drinks, the water level drops and the disc descends with it.

Is the plastic safe / BPA-free?

Specified as food-grade BPA-free plastic. We’re finalising the supplier’s written confirmation on the exact polymer grade and will update this listing once received — until then we’re positioning conservatively.

Does it work in the back of an SUV / car boot?

Yes — that’s one of its primary use cases. Sit it flat in the footwell or boot liner. Avoid placing it on a sloped surface (the disc relies on a level bowl). On long drives, half-fill rather than full-fill for extra splash margin.

OUTSTANDING
Format: Kindle
This was very, very good. The world is vast and characters are complex. There is a good plot with a whole lot going on. This is well written. Good twists and turns and some heart breaking moments. You will love these characters, they have heart and loyalty. I am hoping that there will be several more books. We've yet to see anything from the Sea Court but only a mention of them here and there. The Wood Court was given a quick couple of scenes, and only as far as some warriors, we've yet to enter their court and the Shadow Court, I'm not sure if they will be a force for good or bad, but they definitely will play a much bigger role moving forward. This is primarily the Ice and Air Courts. Told in multiple views, which I loved, it gives you a chance to see things from different eyes. There's alot of political maneuvering and deception. I loved it and will pick up the next book as it becomes available. If you like The Fae and the courts, you should love this. I think the author has mucn in store for us.

Definitely worth the read!
Format: Kindle
After taking a deep breath and taking in that wicked twist of an ending, I have finally composed myself. My first thought when I started this book was that I love Reyna's character. I was intrigued by her connection with her familiar and the Ruin that is plaguing her land. It came as no surprise that she took her sister's place in an attempt to protect her. When they reach the Air Court everything slows down. This is where it was iffy for me. First of all, I like multiple POV's in books however 7 is a bit much. It starts to interrupt the story line. I felt like I was finally making progress connecting with one character, then it was switched to another person. I felt they all had necessary or pertinent information but not necessarily were they all POV worthy. The only other thing that annoyed me was that Reyna constantly was " trapped." She would rush off without thinking, only to need rescuing. She is brilliant in a fight, but she really doesn't think through anything. Lorcan is amazing. I know he might be on the "bad" list, but his background is so interesting. Eislyn(Reyna's sister) is really so sweet, but calculating. I enjoyed her and Thane's dialogue. The author did an amazing job with the imagery in this book. Everything was so detailed it was easy to fall into the scene. I love unexpected twists and while part of the ending I expected, I wasn't expecting how it took place. All in all, I found it very entertaining and I am very invested in continuing this series. Favorite quotes: "The truth may be twisted but never false." "Who was she if she was not the enemy of the Air Court? What was her purpose of she no longer has that?" "In a war-torn land, love was always a lie."

Great Read!!! Great story!!!
Format: Kindle
The series is long, but Ms. Wolfhart does a fantastic job of weaving this tale while bringing so much to the characters. Surprises and plot twists along the way to keep you intrigued. There is some graphic sex, but is no way the focal point. Grammar was excellent (a rare find with a lot of self publishers) with only a few noted errors. I rarely give 4 stars, let alone 5.

Sadly, DNF
Format: Kindle
I read this thru KU. I LOVED the synopsis. And then I began reading... and it was a DNF at 68% after picking it up and putting it down several times because I really loved the main female character. *****SPOILERS***** Pros: The world is unique, intriguing and fun. The primary female character is bad-a** but not a b*tech or a mary sue. The primary female has depth. I really want to know what happens to her even tho it's been weeks and I don't remember her name. The villains to the point I read are pretty good -- an ever present threat of mysterious and possibly many culprits. Cons: Way, way too many points of view. I stopped counting at 7. It's the prime reason why I don't care about most of the characters or remember their names even when I like them. There's just too many points of view so almost none of the characters have enough book space for the author to properly develop them. This literally killed the book for me. Actually it killed my desire to read. For weeks. The main male is more villain than hero. He agreed to marry the main female then locks her up & eschews her for her sister, all while bad mouthing her as unfit to rule when he never spent any time with her getting to know her. He is actually unfit to rule as he is blind to the woes of his own kingdom and starts off a peace mission to secure a ceasefire through marriage by murdering an inn full of people in her country for no real reason. Plus, he constantly makes promises he does not keep. And it's gross of him to pine for the sister behind the main female's back. ***** As much as I really wanted to see what happened to the main female character, it wasn't enough for me to keep trying to slog thru this book. There was a lot of potential here that just fell short. Hence, 3 stars.

Fae Courts with High Intrigue
Format: Kindle
This book is one that just builds and builds and then surprises you to no end. You may think you know the villains and then you are jolted in another direction. Princess Reyna is a real gem, strong of character, a fierce fighter, and loyal to her family and kingdom. Just when you think she and Lorcan, well you know, the plot is flipped. Can't wait to see where this goes in book two.
