The OMAS Almirante Christopher Columbus fountain pen is a distinguished limited edition writing instrument, its name inspired by the title bestowed upon the renowned Genoese navigator for his discovery of the New World. This prestigious designation, "Admiral" or "Master of the Sea," underscores the significance of Columbus's achievement, an honor conferred by King Ferdinand and Queen Isabella of Spain.

Created to commemorate the fifth centenary of the Discovery of America, this exceptional writing instrument embodies a tribute to a pivotal figure in history. The cap and barrel are crafted from ocean blue vegetal resin, sheathed in 18kt gold, upon which the highlights of Columbus's Atlantic crossing have been meticulously engraved by the French goldsmith, Lefebvre, employing a process that exemplifies the time-honored art of goldsmithing.

The intricate creation process involves shaping an 18kt gold alloy into a thin-walled tube, which is then precisely incised and selectively cut to reveal the underlying blue vegetal resin. Following a specialized wax-filling process to maintain structural integrity during engraving, the skilled artisan meticulously etches each pen. The final assembly is followed by rigorous testing to ensure the smoothness and flexibility of the calligraphic nib.

This majestic pen, a fusion of artistic and technical mastery, bears a replicated signature and portrait of Columbus on the cap, alongside depictions of his historic Atlantic crossing on the barrel. Portraits of the Spanish sovereigns and the inscription "De Insulis Inventis" further contextualize the pen's theme.

Exhibited at the Bibliotheque Nationale in Paris, this exclusive edition is limited to thirty (30) pieces. Each pen features personalized engravings of the buyer's initials, the date of manufacture, and Mr. Lefebvre's signature beneath the clip. Accompanied by a monography detailing the production process, the pen is presented in a meticulously crafted, aged oak coffer, a scaled replica of an ancient ship's chest, containing an additional, undisclosed element of surprise for the owner.

Pen comes in Oak Chest (no outer Box) Limited Edition #11

Very functional, and lots of fun for little kids. Gentle enough for their skin, too.
Color: Frog&strawberry
These are so awesome. Two of them come in a box. There's a frog one and a strawberry one. They are inside individual zip lock bags inside the box. There's a scrubbie/loofa (not a natural one, just the plastic webbing type) on one side, and cloth-covered plushie/sponge on the other side that is the strawberry/frog. My granddaughter loves them. She can use them to clean and scrub herself, just like a big girl, but with a fun sponge/scrubby that she likes, so she always knows that there's a special one that is just hers. They absorb plenty of water and soap, and are good for cleaning their whole body. They are just the right size to fit in an adult hand, so a little big for solo use by a little hand, but there are plenty of bits to grab onto on either side, so it's not hard for a little kid to hang onto them. The loofah/scrubby side is well made, although it will become big and loose as those things always do if you pull on them too much. The sponge/toy side is very soft, and definitely gentle enough for a small child's skin. My only dislike is the small loop for hanging it on a hook in the shower. The little loop is just tiny and hard to separate, so it's difficult to get it onto a hook so it can hang and dry out in between uses. It would have been very easy to make the loop longer and more functional, so I'm not sure why they didn't. Other than that one, minor inconvenience, this is a great product.

Adorable scrubbie
Color: Turtle&bunny
Durable sponge made with quality material. Great value for price, soap lathers well and no signs of wear and tear after using for a month. Not too rough on the skin, plus you can’t beat the adorable turtle design

Super Cute! Stuffing Seems to Poke Out
Color: Frog&strawberry
These kids bath sponges are super cute! My daughter loves the strawberry one. It's soft, and well made, and doesn't irritate her skin. The size is just right for little hands, and they seem to be holding up well so far. One thing I noted is that some of the stuffing seemed to be poking out when I first opened it, but it came off easily and doesn't seem to be getting worse.

Great work on the recent history of strategic studies and strategy in practice.
Format: Kindle
While not perfect, certainly one of the best works on strategy I've read recently and possibly the best work on post-1945 strategic history I've read in a while. Two main flaws or issues of contention: Strachan's critique of civil-military relations is at times lucid, but at other times appears to come slightly off the rails. Second, the books origin as a (much altered and added too) collection of articles shows through in the many areas which it doubles back on itself covering ground previously well trodden, at times this is done to build on previously mentioned ideas, at other times it seems overly repetitive. On the whole it is an excellent assessment and critique of the recent history of Strategic Studies as a field, as a historian I find many of his disciplinary critiques of the history/IR balance quite convincing, but I suppose I'm biased.
