- MF: Stands for Metric Fine. This indicates that the thread belongs to the metric system but has a finer pitch (closer threads) than a standard metric coarse thread.
- 10: Represents the Nominal Diameter (10 mm). This is the major, outer diameter of the thread bolt or the size of the hole before cutting the internal threads.
- 1.25: Represents the Pitch (1.25 mm). This is the exact linear distance from the crest of one thread to the crest of the next. For comparison, a standard coarse M10 thread has a wider pitch of 1.5 mm.
