Argentinian indie rock band Él Mató a un Policía Motorizado celebrates two decades of groundbreaking
music with the limited edition red opaque vinyl repress of their critically acclaimed and Latin GRAMMY
nominated 2017 album, La Síntesis O’Konor. The album was named Rolling Stone Argentina’s Top Album
of the Year and has amassed over 100 million streams, most of which are from the band’s breakout hit
“El Tesoro". This special release is part of the 20th anniversary celebration of Nacional Records and also
marks the band’s own 20-year milestone—honoring a legacy that has helped shape the sound of Latin
American indie rock. Originally recorded at the legendary Sonic Ranch studios in Texas, the album
marked a pivotal moment in the band’s evolution, showcasing a more refined and expansive sound
while remaining true to the raw emotional intensity that defines their work. Rich in atmosphere and
introspection, La Síntesis O’Konor continues to resonate deeply, and this anniversary edition invites both
longtime fans and new listeners to rediscover its enduring power.
With an artfully lo-fi sound, El Mató a un Policía Motorizado conjures melodic noise rock reminiscent of
indie rockers The Pixies, Pavement and Guided By Voices.

Following their Latin GRAMMY win in 2022 , Él Mató a un Policía Motorizado continues to gain global
acclaim. In 2024, they joined INTERPOL on a US tour and contributed the only Spanish-language track on
the A24 Talking Heads ‘Stop Making Sense’ tribute album, covering “Slippery People."
In 2025, they are celebrating the 20th anniversary of their debut with a new live album (20 Aniversario
En Vivo’), a new Santiago Motorizado solo album coming this Summer (the band’s lead singer and
songwriter) and continued international tours. Él Mató shows no signs of slowing down.
