Alusthetic’s Aluminium threshold drain is a slim doorway threshold drainage channel made for domestic-level projects involving non-trafficked zones such as patios, pathways and walkways. This effective drainage solution collects and redirects accumulated water, eliminating water ponding around house or business entrances, patios and pedestrian open spaces.

The linear drainage channel (or trench drainage channel) effectively manages water runoff at doorways or entrances, making it an ideal solution for both commercial and residential buildings facing a high risk of water ingress, preventing water damage and maintaining a safe working or living environment. As an added bonus, our threshold drains for sale reduce surface runoff in urban environments, reducing the risk of local flooding and preventing water pooling around a building's entrance, protecting walls and foundations.

Fully compliant and certified to load class standard A 15 BS EN 1433:2002, and compliant with Part M of the Building Regulations, this threshold drainage strip is certified to withstand up to 1.5kN (approximately 15 tonnes) of force in soft ground and around 25kN in concrete. This makes it perfectly suited to light-duty internal and external applications such as skirting the base of indoor pools and patio and garage thresholds or along pedestrian footpaths and bridleways.

Please note: Each section of Alusthetic Threshold Drainage Channel should be connected using a channel connector which will also help to stabilise the channel during installation. Ends should be capped off using an end cap or outlet. We recommend using a PVC solvent weld to fuse your channels and connectors together. Although not essential (as your system will be slotted together using channel connectors), it can be useful to plug any gaps and ensure your channels are one seamless length of leak proof, water tight PVC.
