- Gelede is a ceremonial dance to celebrate mothers and female ancestors during festivals. Meant to educate and inspire, masks are created to show the power these women hold. Worn and created by men, the masks come in all shapes and sizes. The dancers dress themselves in colorful, elaborate costumes and place the headdresses on top of their heads, faces covered by a veil to hide their identity. The dancers vigorously move to the beat of drums while singing and putting on a spectacular performance in honor of the women in their lives.

The origins of Gelede come from the story of Yemoja, “The Mother of all the orisa and all living things”. Yemoja could not bear children so she consulted an oracle. He advised her to offer sacrifices while dancing with wooden images on her head and metal anklets on her feet. With the ritual complete, Yemoja gave birth to a son nicknamed “Efe”. Later she gave birth to a girl, Gelede.When Gelede and Efe grew older and were married themselves, they too were unable to have children. The oracle suggested they try the same ritual as their mother had to conceive them. Soon after, both children had families of their own, developing this masked dance into a traditional ceremony.

Pillow for everyone

Gonna get more for the guest room while I'm thinking about it.

I will buy these again in a few years. I got 2 for me, and two for my man. They look super nice and full, and squish perfectly when you lay your head down on them.
They are economical and priced nicely. They fluff decent when you fluff them, and I love my pillows again. These got rid of my headaches from neck trouble.
I love these pillows. I'm gonna actually buy some right now for my guest room while I'm thinking about it. I compare these to that hotel I slept at once that had the most amazing pillows. Clean crisp fresh and soft. But not too soft. They are definitely soft, but cradle your head like a hug.

Well made and soft Resilient but not memory foam Good for back or tummy sleeper

These pillows are well made I put them in the dryer on medium heat for 10 min 2 at a time, and they doubled in fluffiness They're soft to the touch as well as in plushness/depth They are resilient but not memory foam I don't think they would be firm enough for a side sleeper but nice for resting on your back or tummy

A product that will make a difference!

These king-size pillows are incredibly comfortable and supportive. They are soft enough to feel luxurious, yet they provide great support for my head and neck throughout the night. The king size is perfect for a larger bed and gives the bed a full, hotel-like appearance. The pillows keep their shape well and fluff up nicely after use. I've been sleeping much better since getting them and would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for quality, comfortable pillows.
