At the race circuit, high level of friction can be achieved along with high stability for an extended amount of time with the heat treatment. _x000D_ The 6 slots brake disc is adopted as standard in the HS type by considering various factors, such as pad wear,squeal and the removal effect of gas at the fading Compatible Vehicles:. | Remarks | The heat treatment does not directly improve brake performance. The heat treatment increases the disc resistance against strains and thermal cracking. It also helps maintain stable brake performance for a extended period of time. _x000D_ The surface of the heat treated brake discs has a burnt colour. Once it is used, the burnt surface will be removed by the pad, and changes back to the colour of normal cast iron. Please be aware that the effect of the heat treatment of the disc will not disappear even if the surface colour changes. _x000D_ 12 slots version (HST type) is available as a special order. the surcharge of 12 slots is JPY6,000 (w / o tax). _x000D_ our processing of the rotor, the above package we have shipped in. Like it so far after 2 weeks of swimming.
Like it so far after 2 weeks of swimming. Have been careful nio to press buttons underwater. I Like the large numerals, backlight, countdown timer, stopwatch and alarm.
My last Timex 1440 lasted 10 years before the battery was low enough that the backlight was too weak to see at night. I replaced the battery on it but did not seal the o ring well enough with silicon grease so it leaked and quit working. I also had also replaced the band once.

Little Small On The Wrist
Really cool timepiece, been loving timex a lot recently, this is me coming over Casio/G-shocks. Although it is a bit smaller on the wrist it still looks very nice and I really love the gray and like green color contrast. Really easy to read the time as well.

Sturdy and digital
This watch has “ fake screws” holding the band on . The band is actually held on by the usual pins holding it on most watches but weaker . The pin came off while I was putting it on for the first time! This is the second time I bought off Amazon in 2 weeks where the watch appeared to be sturdy and the pins fell off . Going back to military watches that have material straps that go completely around wrist and do not have pressure on pins

Ten years of ownership…Thank you, Timex!

Solid watch for everyday wear. I have worn this watch for over 10 years. I let a watch shop replace the battery about every 18 months. Other than the original band (which lasted 5 years) I have had zero problems. Still looks great, rugged and manly😇
Overall I recommend this watch for its value, reliability, simple clear design, legible hands in all light conditions. Great watch!!!
