Most electronic cat toys are a bare plastic ball. This one arrives dressed as a rabbit — three interchangeable plush covers, rabbit ears included, in brown, yellow, and pink. The ears trail when it rolls. That’s the detail that makes a curious cat stop, track, and pounce.

The PawBunny™ interactive cat toy ball is a motorised ball that moves on its own, wrapped in a soft plush cover your cat can bat, chase and pin. Three motion modes, an optional birdsong sound, and a touch-activated restart mean it works around your cat’s mood rather than ignoring it. After five minutes of no contact it powers down automatically — then wakes the moment your cat touches it again.

All three plush covers ship in the box. Swap them when one gets soggy from enthusiasm, or rotate them to keep things novel. The ball itself is 6.4 cm across — small enough to carry in a cat’s mouth, large enough not to be a hazard.

Works on every floor in your home

Most self-rolling cat toys struggle on anything other than hard floors. PawBunny’s motor is strong enough to handle thin carpet and thick carpet as well as wood, tile, and laminate — which matters if your cat’s favourite stalking territory happens to be the living-room rug.

✓  Wooden floor
Fast, responsive rolling
✓  Tile floor
Smooth and consistent
✓  Thin carpet
Handles low-pile without stalling
✓  Thick carpet
Works on deep-pile too

What you get in the box

  • 1× PawBunny motor ball — 6.4 cm diameter, ABS body with textured grip dome, power button, LED indicator
  • 3× interchangeable plush covers — brown, yellow, and pink, each with rabbit ears and trailing strings
  • Spare strings — replacements for the trailing cords
  • 1× USB-C charging cable — use with a standard USB-A adapter (5 V / 1 A); not compatible with USB C-to-C PD adapters
  • 1× mini screwdriver tool — for unlocking the buckle to change covers (included; don’t throw it away)

How to set it up

1 Charge first. Plug the USB-C cable into the ball and the USB-A end into a standard wall adapter or laptop port. The indicator light glows red while charging. Charge time is around 2 hours from empty. Important: use a USB-A-to-C cable only — PD-type USB C-to-C adapters are not supported and will not charge the unit.
2 Fit the plush cover. Use the included screwdriver to unlock the clear buckle ring. Thread the cover’s strings into the grooves, then lock the buckle back down. The cover should sit snugly with the rabbit ears pointing upward. Keep the screwdriver somewhere you’ll find it — you need it every time you swap covers.
3 Power on and pick a mode. Long-press the button for 2 seconds to start. Short-press to cycle through Normal (blue) → Active (pink) → Interactive (yellow). For the birdsong sound, double-tap the button once the ball is running.
4 Place it and step back. Set the ball on a clear area of floor and let your cat approach in their own time. Interactive mode is a good starting point for nervous cats — the ball stays still until they touch it, which is less startling than something already spinning across the room.

What this isn't:

PawBunny is an enrichment tool, not a substitute for hands-on play. An automatic toy can fill the gap when you’re on a call or out for a couple of hours — but wand sessions and interactive play you lead yourself are still the most valuable thing in an indoor cat’s day.

The birdsong sound will interest some cats immediately and be completely ignored by others. Cats that are motivated by audio triggers tend to be the ones who already respond to bird sounds on TV or through an open window. If yours doesn’t, the motion modes work just fine without it.

Honest questions, honestly answered

Will my cat actually play with it?

Most cats with a moderate prey drive will engage — the rabbit ears trailing as the ball rolls give the visual cue that something small and alive is moving. Cats that are very food-motivated but not toy-motivated may sniff once and leave. Start in Interactive mode (yellow LED) so the ball stays still until your cat touches it — that first pawing-at-the-stationary-thing is usually what hooks them. If three sessions in a row produce nothing, our 30-day return covers it.

My cat chewed the strings. Are replacements included?

Yes — a set of spare strings ships in the box. Cats that are enthusiastic chewers will go through them. The strings are a trailing stimulation feature, not a structural part — the ball functions without them if needed, though most cats find the trailing movement more engaging than the rolling alone.

How do I charge it? My C-to-C cable isn't working.

This is the most common setup issue. PawBunny charges via USB-C cable plugged into a USB-A source — a standard wall adapter, laptop port, or USB hub. PD-type USB C-to-C adapters (the fast-charging type that powers phones and laptops) are not supported by this unit. If you only have a C-to-C setup, you’ll need a standard USB-A wall plug — any 5 V / 1 A adapter works. The USB-C cable is included in the box.

How do I swap the plush cover?

Use the mini screwdriver that ships in the box to unlock the clear plastic buckle ring. The cover’s strings slot into grooves around the ball’s equator. Place the strings in the grooves, then lock the buckle back. It takes about a minute once you’ve done it once. Don’t lose the screwdriver — you need it every time. It’s tiny and usually lives inside the original box.

Is the birdsong loud? Will it disturb the household?

It’s a gentle chirping sound, not a full speaker volume. In a quiet room you’ll hear it clearly; in a room with background noise (TV, conversation) it’s a minor presence. It doesn’t play automatically — you toggle it on with a double-tap and off again the same way. If you’re using it while working from home or during a call, leave the sound off.

Can I wash the plush covers?

The covers detach from the motor ball for cleaning. Hand-wash in cool water and allow to air-dry fully before reattaching — do not put the motor ball unit near water. Swap to one of the other two covers while one dries. This is exactly why three covers in the box is a practical feature, not just a colour option.

Is it safe to leave running when I'm out?

The 5-minute auto-standby means it powers down on its own when your cat loses interest, so it won’t run the battery flat while you’re gone. That said, we’d recommend supervising the first few sessions before leaving it unsupervised — so you know how your cat interacts with it and whether they’re a chewer of the strings or a gentle paw-tapper. Once you know that, leaving it on while you nip out is reasonable.

Baby bumps and bodyguards
Format: Kindle
Dark, emotional, and unexpectedly tender, Not Ready is an omegaverse romance that delivers found family feels, fierce protectiveness, and a very pregnant heroine who refuses to break. Vale’s on the run from a stalker, but lands in the arms of three private security alphas, cue the swoony tension, fake marriage twist, and slow-burn heat. It’s a little gritty, a little soft, and a whole lot addictive. If you love protective alphas, high stakes, and heroines with quiet strength, this one’s a must-read.

Strong Omegaverse Comfort and a Attention Grabbing Plot
Format: Kindle
Jillian West never misses when it comes to Omegaverse, and Not Ready is no exception. This story was the perfect blend of cozy comfort and emotional depth while still delivering a strong plot. Vale is such a powerful heroine, she is strong, capable, and determined but I love that she still allows her pack to love and take care of her. It’s that balance of independence and vulnerability that makes her so relatable. The relationship dynamics were amazing: Bishop is steadfast and completely head over heels, Mercy is skeptical but protective in his own way, and Holt is the hesitant one whose slow fall is so satisfying to watch unfold. The romance hits that sweet spot between insta-love and cautious build, keeping me hooked the entire way through. And that ending. Oh my god, the cliffhanger! I need the next book in this duet immediately.

Interesting
Format: Kindle
So I will say I enjoyed the story, for sure had its moments where it dragged but it was a great story. I really liked that omegas picked their alphas/make the pack. Normally the Alphas make it and the omega fits in with them which is great but I enjoyed this new version where all the power basically went to the omega. It was a nice change of pace. I can admit some of the weird bedroom stuff with her being pregnant was odd, it’s really not hard to do stuff when pregnant (I know I’ve had two and it’s normal and even encouraged at the end especially if you want the baby out). But I like the story as a whole and will read the second, I do hope the next one isn’t dragged bc it stopped being action or tense after she met her alphas and I don’t think it was brought up or properly done when they tried to do it. More sweet after she left.

I’m a little disappointed.
Format: Kindle
I usually like Jillian West’s books but this one was missing a lot for me. The pregnancy didn’t come across as real. She’s on her feet for 12 hour days but is perfectly healthy at 8 months pregnant? Yet the week she moves in all of a sudden she’s not? She is planning on actually running during one of the plot buildups. But at 8 months pregnant that’s incredibly hard to do. The lack of breathing ability and lung space, the change in body center, mass, and gravity. All of it prohibits running, unless you’re an athlete this didn’t come off as at all realistic. I didn’t feel any connection with the alphas. There wasn’t any emotional connection. It could be because of the tense it was written in. But I didn’t get any deep feelings out of this. It came across as checking off boxes. Even the spicy scenes weren’t really believable for me. I wanted to see them fall for her, and it just kind of all fizzled. Even Bishop. One thing I did really like was the ending. I did not see it coming and I’m interested in reading book two because of it. But on the whole this book was mostly disappointing for me.
