These cone shaped escapes can be used in a wide range of application and products where a one way system is required. They can be used to manage pest control to allow bees inside the hive to escape whilst preventing them from returning back the same path. The result is external bees and other larger pests like wasps will not be able to enter through the cones the wrong way. The result is that bees would have to enter back at the main entrance of which is usually guarded.
In addition they can be added to deep clearance boards to clear bees from one chamber/super in preparation for harvesting honey.
