B-TUFF® 302 NG

Single-Component, Solvent-Free Basecoat for Concrete, Plywood and Metal | Brand: B-TUFF

B-TUFF® 302 NG is a single-component, solvent-free polyurethane basecoat for use on concrete, plywood, and metal substrates. Its moisture-tolerant formulation and single-component convenience are designed for professional installers working on traffic deck, pedestrian, and industrial flooring systems. Confirm suitability, coverage, cure time, and system compatibility against the current TDS, SDS, and project specification before use.

Professional system note: B-TUFF® 302 NG is a basecoat and must be topcoated with a compatible B-TUFF wearing course or approved finish coat. It is not intended as a final exposed wear surface. Confirm the full system specification before use.

Product Description

B-TUFF® 302 NG cures by reaction with atmospheric moisture to form a flexible, adhesive basecoat layer. Its single-component formulation eliminates on-site mixing. The NG (Next Generation) formula is solvent-free, delivering low VOC emissions; confirm ventilation requirements against the SDS.

The product is designed to bond to concrete, plywood, and metal substrates after proper preparation, providing a foundation for subsequent wearing course layers; final adhesion depends on substrate condition, preparation, and application method. Its moisture-tolerant chemistry is designed for application over substrates with moderate residual moisture; confirm the maximum acceptable moisture level against the current TDS and conduct moisture testing before application.

Key Characteristics

  • Single-component — no on-site mixing; apply directly from the container.
  • Solvent-free, low VOC — confirm ventilation requirements against the SDS.
  • Moisture-tolerant — designed for application over substrates with moderate residual moisture; confirm the maximum acceptable moisture level against the TDS and conduct moisture testing before application.
  • Multi-substrate — designed for use on concrete, plywood, and metal after correct surface preparation; confirm substrate-specific requirements against the TDS.
  • Recoat window — allows subsequent coats to be applied within the recoat window specified in the TDS; confirm recoat times as they vary with temperature and humidity.
  • Flexible basecoat — designed to accommodate minor substrate movement; confirm performance properties against the TDS.

Typical Applications

  • Basecoat for B-TUFF traffic deck and pedestrian deck systems
  • Concrete, plywood, and metal substrate priming and bonding
  • Parkade and parking structure deck systems
  • Pedestrian walkways, ramps, and balcony deck systems
  • Industrial flooring basecoat on concrete and metal substrates

Surface Preparation

Concrete must be mechanically profiled (shot-blasted or ground to the CSP specified in the TDS), clean, and free of laitance, oil, grease, and incompatible coatings. Plywood must be structurally sound, clean, and free of surface contamination. Metal must be clean, dry, and free of rust, mill scale, and oil. Refer to the current TDS for substrate-specific preparation requirements and acceptable moisture levels.

Application Instructions

  1. Substrate preparation: Prepare the substrate as described above. Confirm moisture levels are within the acceptable range specified in the TDS.
  2. Mixing: Stir thoroughly before use. No mixing of separate components required.
  3. Application: Apply by roller or squeegee at the coverage rate specified in the TDS. Ensure uniform film build across the entire surface.
  4. Recoat: Apply the wearing course or subsequent system layers within the recoat window specified in the TDS. Do not exceed the maximum recoat time without re-priming.

Limitations

  • Not intended as a final exposed wear surface — must be topcoated with an approved wearing course.
  • Do not apply to substrates exceeding the maximum acceptable moisture level specified in the TDS.
  • Do not apply below minimum temperature or when condensation or rain is expected before cure; confirm temperature requirements against the TDS.
  • Do not exceed the maximum recoat window without re-priming the surface.
  • Confirm compatibility with the intended wearing course system before application.

Storage & Shelf Life

Store in original, unopened containers in a cool, dry, ventilated area away from direct sunlight, heat, and moisture. Confirm shelf life and storage temperature requirements against the product label and current TDS.

Health & Safety

Read the current Safety Data Sheet (SDS) before use. Contains isocyanate prepolymers — wear gloves, eye protection, and ensure adequate ventilation. Refer to the SDS for full hazard classification and first-aid measures.

Simple, Straightforward and Concise - Ideal for Beginners!
Format: Kindle
Written by Sophie Merle, The Book of Tapping: Emotional Acupressure with EFT is a short, concise and simple but straightforward guide to Tapping. What I liked best about this book is that - it is very easy to understand, making it possible for anyone and everyone to explore EFT. Since this is a very short book, I understand that not much is covered, just the basics predominantly, but if you are looking for an introduction to EFT Tapping and uncomplicated explanations and ideas, this is a book you can check out! **I was offered an eARC by Healing Arts Press through Net Galley in exchange for an honest review.

An excellent basic text for anyone interested in learning the EFT system.
Format: Paperback
Over the years I have read a several books on the healing art of tapping and I must say this 106 page soft cover volume (The book of Tapping: Emotional acupressure with EFT by Sophie Merle) is one of the best I have read lately. The step-by-step lessons are easy to follow and everything is explained in a clear and concise way. This book is organized into ten sections covering the following material: EFT: an energetic technique for health and material abundance, the EFT protocol, working with EFT, a collection of painful statements, the body’s meridians and their emotional function, the various ways EFT can be applied, EFT and the realization of goals, group sessions, two EFT variations and a conclusion. If you are seeking a good basic introduction to the EFT system you may want to check out this excellent book. Rating: 5 Stars. Joseph J. Truncale (Author: Chair/Seated Tai Chi, Qigong and Yoga stretching for seniors and the physically challenged).
