In addition to SACD playback, it supports USB drives, Bluetooth streaming, DLNA, Airplay, and NAS, offering versatile connectivity options. With both single-ended and balanced outputs, it pairs easily with various audiophile amplifiers or active speakers, while its advanced I2S digital output lets you feed even higher-end DACs.
At its core, the SCD1.3 uses the MediaTek ME1389EE system and a HD870 laser mechanism, unlocking the full potential of High-Resolution SACDs and standard CDs. For Hybrid SACDs, there's a dedicated button to switch between SACD and CD layers. The sound tuning, inspired by the Shanling M9 Plus, centers on the flagship AKM AK4499EX + AK4191 DAC, delivering a detailed, expansive soundstage with a touch of warmth. With MUSES8920 as the pre-amp, the SCD1.3 can be directly connected to power amplifiers or active speakers for a simple, high-quality 2-channel setup.
The SCD1.3 introduces an advanced I2S system, featuring a dedicated FPGA circuit for greater adjustability and compatibility with DACs, including support for 10 common I2S HDMI pinouts. It also includes coaxial and optical SPDIF outputs for simpler DACs. Running on Shanling’s updated MTouch system, powered by the Ingenic X2000 platform, the player boasts a responsive 5-inch touchscreen interface, improved for both speed and ease of use. The SCD1.3 supports Bluetooth 5.0, with LDAC, aptX HD, and AAC, plus Wi-Fi for DLNA, Airplay, and NAS features. With support for 32-bit / 768 kHz and DSD512, it also offers high-performance USB and direct USB drive playback for pristine, lossless sound.
