| Remarks | The heat treatment does not directly improve brake performance. The heat treatment increases the disc resistance against strains and thermal cracking. It also helps maintain stable brake performance for a extended period of time. _x000D_ The surface of the heat treated brake discs has a burnt colour. Once it is used, the burnt surface will be removed by the pad, and changes back to the colour of normal cast iron. Please be aware that the effect of the heat treatment of the disc will not disappear even if the surface colour changes. _x000D_ our processing of the rotor is, we have shipped in the above package. I bought this and was able to change this myself. It was simple. I got this for my 2016 Honda Civic, I don't think I ever replaced the filter in my car in the 5 years that I had it. It had a distinct smell in my car, and once I popped this bad boy in, within a day or two the smell was gone. It did make a sound for a while like I did not do it correctly, but I did, after about a week the sound went away, so everything's good. I will buy this again when the time comes

Did not fit right out of box. Had to trim with scissors.

Good value. A little flimsy but pretty much what I expected. My only real complaint is that out of the box it did not drop right in to my Honda Odyssey. I had to trim the tabs on one end with scissors for it to fit in to the filter housing.
