Appearance & Characteristics
- Body: Large, flat to dome-shaped cactus, with extremely rugged and exaggerated tubercles
- Tubercles: Fissured, warty, and often elongated or spiked like armor — giving the cultivar its nickname “Godzilla”
- Color: Gray-green to purplish-green
- Spines: None – like all Ariocarpus, it is spineless
- Areoles: Woolly, located at the tubercle tips
- Flowers: Magenta to pink, daisy-like, bloom in autumn at the center of the plant
