Add-On Variant: 3.1 Rail Extension Kit (9" Rails with Splices)

Need a little extra rail length for Tamarack mounts? Choose the 3.1 Rail Extension Kit (9" Rails with Splices)—a 9-inch rail extension designed for TTP-A and Ground Mount systems.

Max Module Width (with this Extension Kit):

• TTP-A-3 & TTP-A-6 Mounts: up to 46" module width

• 3-Module Ground Mounts: up to 46" module width

• 4-Module Ground Mounts: up to 47.5" module width

Installation Notes (Rail Splice Assembly):

• Rail splice arrives partially assembled with one end inserted 5" into the 9" rail, secured by (1) bolt + channel nut

• Slide the second rail section over the splice until it contacts the first rail section, then install the second bolt + channel nut

• Tighten both bolts to 144 in-lbs (12 ft-lbs)

• If a locking bolt interferes with mid-clamp placement, it can be loosened and moved slightly during module installation

What’s Not Included (Required Separately):

• Concrete and/or Ground Screws

• 2" Schedule-40 Pipe

• Swivel Tees for cross-bracing (if needed)

Cross-Bracing (When Required):

Some site conditions require cross-bracing. Use:

• 90699 – Swivel Tee (2" tee fitting): use (1) per vertical post when bracing is required
  Sites with ground slope greater than 15° may require additional engineering certification.
