Au début de l'année, de nombreux fans ont été extrêmement enthousiasmés par le prototype de la nouvelle figurine de collection RoboCop en version endommagée au combat, présenté lors de plusieurs salons du jouet ! Outre son effet de dommages de combat merveilleusement réalisé, il s'agit de la toute première figurine de collection officielle à l'échelle 1/6e représentant Peter Weller ! Aujourd'hui, nous sommes fiers de présenter officiellement la très attendue figurine de collection RoboCop (version endommagée au combat) à l'échelle 1/6 !
La figurine RoboCop (version endommagée au combat) à l'échelle 1/6, fidèle au film, a été spécialement conçue à partir de l'image de Peter Weller dans le rôle de RoboCop endommagé au combat dans le film. Elle comprend une nouvelle tête sculptée avec des détails mécaniques, une armure endommagée au combat spécialement peinte, un étui à arme fonctionnel sur la cuisse, des armes et des accessoires détaillés.
La figurine de collection RoboCop (version endommagée au combat) à l'échelle 1/6 présente les caractéristiques suivantes :
- Une ressemblance authentique et détaillée avec Peter Weller dans le rôle de RoboCop dans le film
- Une nouvelle tête sculptée avec des détails mécaniques
- Expression faciale fidèle au film, avec des rides et une texture de peau détaillées
- Hauteur d'environ 30 cm
- Corps avec plus de 25 points d'articulation
- Armure noire, gris clair et argentée avec effet de dommages importants dus au combat
- Un (1) étui fonctionnel sur la cuisse droite

Started w/ audiobook, now I'm ordering the print too

This book is GREAT!! The integration of theory she uses to support her claims is masterful. I began listening to the audiobook, because it was cheaper & I go through a ton of counseling & psych books. I am a grad student in social work, and I'm also a therapy client trying to heal myself.
I appreciate that this book targets "chronic shame" which as a central experience to a bunch of issues. The hundreds of books and articles I've researched seem like they were mostly ALL working back to this issue.
In a psychology culture that is big on cognitive and chemical solutions to mental health, the relational approach that she emphasizes is critical to the healing process. I appreciate the research she uses from object relations, affect regulation, interpersonal, etc. I purchased the hard copy because 1. I can't underline/highlight an audiobook and 2. I want a copy of the references of theorists and study's that she draws from, because they are pure gold.
All therapists need to understand the contents of this book! Unless you are perfectly fine offering band aid solutions. Clients and self-helpers beware. It's not triggering in terms of content, it is activating in the sense that she describes the felt experience of shame SO WELL. I could locate my own felt sense of shame which is, by default, unpleasant. Some stabilization and a decent therapeutic connection is probably necessary before cracking this book open. But that's why I love it. I needed to go deeper and get the core issues. And this book is like a map that guides you right to it.

One of the best books on shame out there
Format: Paperback
As a shame researcher and educator, I often refer to DeYoung's book because it is so full of resources and relational tools for clinicians and individuals relating to the neurobiology of shame. It is a very small book with A LOT of information. Many references to the shame research and suggestions for treating shame in clinical practice from a perspective of right brain relationship dynamics. Thank you Patricia!

One of the most helpful, lucid, and comprehensive books on shame I've encountered. This was required reading for graduate school and is now one of my most returned to, dog-eared, and referenced books. Can't recommend enough.
