Visconti Divina is a collection of very innovative writing instruments that carries in its DNA the Italian Renaissance, Leonardo da Vinci, and the golden number or ratio (1,618), which is said to transmit the key of knowledge and of beauty. Visconti applied the golden ratio for the first time to a writing instrument in the Divina pen: this generated a revolutionary design changing the aesthetic canon of fountain pens.

The inspiring concepts are: The Golden Number, the Pentagram, and the Nautilus.
• The Golden Number: here is the ratio between the length of cap and pen in both open and close conditions, reflecting the divine proportions.
• The Pentagram: it is part of the form of the pen itself, adapted to the ergonomic needs of a writing instrument.
• The Nautilus or “Golden Spiral”: following the Fibonacci Series, the Golden Spiral harmoniously envelops the pen.

These elements melt together in an alchemy of forms and proportions to make a pen that can be defined as the fifth essence of elegance: so modern as to seem timeless, so ancient as to seem supernatural. In one word: Divina. The collection was launched during he 2005 Cannes Film Festival alongside the film "The Da Vinci Code". It was gifted to celebrity and Hollywood star Tom Hanks, who played the lead role.

The Golden Number, originally codified from Leonardo in the XIV Century, is a number already present in nature, where its influence reveals the beauty of the proportion. The collection is designed following the rules of the golden number where the cap is 0,618 of the entire length of the pen itself. It has a pentagon shape as it represents the union of the four elements giving birth to the fifth: the divine. The shape is a spiral shape invoking the nautilus that is another symbol of divine proportion. All the materials used in this collection are precious from the noble silver for all the metal trim to the compound of acrylic resin and mother of pearl dust making up the body of the pen, revealing its genuine elegance and prestigious heart.

This version doesn’t work
I used these 2 nights in a row. I was hoping Oracoat found a solution to the problem people like me have with the regular Xylimelts: irritation of gums. As others have noted the “sensitive” version doesn’t melt and the goo that remains can be difficult to remove. I didn’t have too much trouble after the first night. However, the second day after use, it was so hard to get the remains out, I wound up with a very sore spot from digging it out. I will toss the rest. It’s too bad this effort fizzled. I hope Oracoat will find a solution For sensitive mouths. In the b meantime, I will use the original for a few nights and then stop before repeating. The idea behind the original product is fantastic. Unfortunately this attempt to make it usable for people with sensitive mouths hasn’t worked. Please try again.

An improvement over the original product, but could be better
I had used the original Xylimelts a few years back for my night time very dry mouth. They worked very well, completely dissolving overnight, but they caused sores inside my cheeks. Recently I discovered this new version which was purported to be made without the offending ingredients. They don't work quite as well, as they don't completely dissolve, but so far haven't caused any irritation. My mouth isn't completely parched as it was without any product, so it is definitely better than nothing. There is a gel-like residue in the morning that needs to be scraped off the teeth. I think Oracoat has some more R & D to do.

These work well!
These work to keep my mouth moist for hours. The only downside is the glue stays in your mouth till you can scrape it out with your finger. I thought it would dissolve but it didn’t. Very grateful to find something that moistens my mouth for so long though. They’re easy to use too. Taste slightly sweet but otherwise I didn’t notice anything.
