Beneath the glass of a naturalist's cabinet, pinned and preserved for eternity, insects have always held a strange kind of beauty. But what if their delicate wings were laced with bone? What if the ribcage of a creature long gone could be reborn, reshaped, resized, and made to flutter again?

That is the question Malaysian artist Blurblur (Claire) dared to ask. Driven by grief, a love for the creatures of this earth, and a deep fascination with what the living leave behind, she built an entire world from bones and wings. The result is Necro-Entomology — part obsession, part tribute to everything that fades, and entirely unlike anything you've seen on a keyboard before.
