Loudenne has a fine history that spans over 300 years. Its illustrious past owes much to two British wine merchants, Alfred and Walter Gilbey. In 1875, these two lovers of life and of “the finer things” decided to make the property their home residence. Over 125 years, they built up the reputation of the vineyard and turned Loudenne into a place full of life and of unparalleled receptions.

This collection beautifully displays the reputation in which they have been founded upon, making your next dining occasion one to remember.

AWARDED 92/100 POINTS & 4 STARS: Bob Campbell, Master of Wine, Jun 2018

"A blend of cabernet franc, cabernet sauvignon, malbec and merlot from a reliable producer from a rain-affected vintage. Dense, weighty red with dark berry, fresh herb and chocolate/mocha flavours. A good cellaring prospect" Bob Campbell, Master of Wine, Jun 2018

"This blend of merlot and cabernet sauvignon is very typical Bordeaux, with cedar, fruitspice and currant aromatics, plus firm tannins in the mouth and fresh acidity. It is a generous yet structured red that will impress at the dinner table. It’s ready now – though now hurry" Paul Tudor, Master of Wine

"A great buy, this is a dark, intense blend with attractive tobacco and bottle-age characters mingling with lovely cassis and black fruit flavours. The tannins are robust" John Saker's Top 5 Bordeaux Reds, Stuff.co.nz

Aged between 12 and 16 months in French oak barrels, "Le Chateau" is a fine Médoc red that is both intense and bright. When young, the Loudenne Médoc has a deep crimson colour, a strong, complex nose with notes of dark fruits (cherries, blackberries, blackcurrants), toast, and more delicate notes of vanilla. Some vintages also have elegant, fresh notes of mint. The wine is dense, concentrated, and fruity on the palate with a pleasant tannic structure, a full body, and a long finish. It is a wine that has both an excellent aging potential and tannins that are pleasant enough to be enjoyed while it is still young. As it ages, the fruity aromas disappear and are gradually replaced by the sophisticated aromas of sous bois. The wine becomes more complex and its tannins more velvety

The 2014 vintage is characterized by mild but very rainy periods in winter (January, February), which favoured a rapid growth of vegetation. The cool spring slowed down the development of the vine. July and August were cool and regularly watered, with sometimes hot spells over a few days. Beautiful sunshine in September and stable weather over several weeks allowed us to get the grapes to ripen well. The North Médoc and Loudenne were spared from the corridor of rain and storms which struck Saint-Estèphe and Pauillac

Awarded 95/100 Points & 5 Stars: Bob Campbell, Master of Wine, Real Review, Dec 2019

"A 50/50 blend of cabernet sauvignon and merlot. Elegant, complex wine with an array of berry, cedar, spice and new leather flavours together with a generous influence of oak. Stylish, youthful and accessible wine with obvious cellaring potential. A seamless, fine-grained Bordeaux" Bob Campbell, Master of Wine, Real Review, Dec 2019

Respectful of the estate’s remarkable history and looking to the future, Moutai completely renovated the property. Double Guyot system pruning using adapted, specific treatments in the vineyard to protect against diseases in order to use less chemicals; leaf-thinning, green harvesting and grape sorting. Fermentation in thermo-regulated stainless steel and epoxy resin lined cement vats with 3 weeks on skins and regular pumping. Malolactic fermentation in barrels.  Aged for 16 months in French oak, 33% new.

Long lasting and safer alternative to sticks
Color: Dogwood & Calming, Size: Medium
These are great, very durable, and have lasted a very long time. Much safer for my dogs than the random sticks they find in the yard. They do get shorter with chewing eventually, but they don't break off in little chunks like I've seen with some nylon chews, and they don't splinter like wood. Medium size works well for both my 16 lb Cavalier and my 60 lb Pyrenees/Golden mix. They're both moderate-to-aggressive chewers, though size obviously affects how much damage they can do. I wish you could buy the hemp chew separately because that one is very much a favorite in my house, so after 2 years and 2 purchases, I have barely any left of the remaining hemp chew, but still 2 of the dogwood chews that neither dog is as interested in anymore. I'd love to buy a couple more of just the hemp one.

Your dog will thank you.
Color: Dogwood & Fresh Breath, Size: Large
My dogs loves to chew on these. They make a small mess but not as bad as other chews. They are food for keeping teeth clean.

Nice chew toy
Color: Dogwood Mushroom, Size: Medium, Color: Dogwood Mushroom, Size: Medium
Super durable and puppy loves it. It was a bit hard for her at first but now at 5 months it’s one of her favorite things to gnaw on! It is heavy for the size but seems to be great quality and has given many hours of chew time with minimal wear.

Puppy loves these sticks!
Color: Dogwood & Calming, Size: Medium
Dogs love these sticks! Must smell and taste like real wood because it keeps my puppy from bringing real sticks in the house from outside. She is a heavy chewer and these sticks keep her occupied. We are on our 2nd set.
