This period influenced Ingres' artistic choices, as he sought to reflect the grandeur and heroism of classical themes. His work often mirrored the ideals of the French Empire, emphasizing honor, valor, and the complexities of human emotion.Mythological Themes in 19th Century Art
Ingres' painting draws heavily from Greek mythology, specifically the epic tales of Homer. The story of Achilles, a central figure in the "Iliad," resonates with themes of pride and conflict. Good Pillows to Show Off Decorative Pillow Shams
Size: Queen - 20"*30" (pack of 2), Color: Grey
Although we have queen-sized beds, we typically use standard-sized pillows. One of the quilt sets I got this Christmas time came with queen sized pillow shams, and the standard pillows just didn't fill them properly. I could have sewn flanges on either side of the shams, but I decided to order these pillows instead. The are almost wide enough to fully fill those shams that started all this additional purchasing. (I also ended up ordering pillow protectors for the queen sized pillows.)
The pillows are fluffy and substantial for now. My husband manages to flatten out pillows almost no matter how they start our. For now, so far so good. They re a medium-weight and fullness, I would say. They do a good job of showing off the pillow sham design, so that's a plus. I'm not planning for us to sleep on them, but they are added back support while watching TV. They are primarily for decorative purposes when the bed is made with the quilt and shams. They were a reasonable value for the intended purpose.
