Sometimes, we just don’t have anything to say… and that’s okay.

They run at the first sign
of searching for them,
nowhere
to be found.

So I stop
searching
and instead try
waiting
for the moment
that they return to me
suddenly
like an old friend
who never left my side,
seeming as if
we were never
apart”
