The Avatar UR Demo collection takes all at a step further with translucent barrels, a new soft touch rubber grip section, and a converter with markings for the remaining ink level.

UltraResin is a special formula of mother of pearl compound resin that is extremely rigid, nearly unbreakable, resistant to oils, inks, electricity, high and low temperatures, UV rays, and any weathering condition.

Transparent pens were known as "demonstrators" in the 1920s because they were used by salesmen to illustrate the pen's internal mechanism to pen dealers. Manufacturing transparent pens involves the fairly difficult task of polishing a pen on the inside. Transparency allows one not only to see the pen's mechanism but also to monitor its ink level.

Pineider has fitted the converters for this collection with a simple word gauge that allows you to monitor the ink level and thus avoid being left high and dry!

The new comfort grip section is lined in special replaceable, anti-aging, anti-yellowing super soft rubber that makes writing a relaxing and pleasant pastime.

Using a combination of 3D engineering and high precision manufacturing, the Avatar's many parts are assembled like a technological puzzle where every component fits precisely and securely together without a single drop of glue.

The Avatar's magnetic twist cap has a film over the internal magnets to protect them from corrosion and allow for a soft touch closure. The solid marine steel clip is Pineider’s interpretation of a goose quill, sturdy yet flexible, and is formed on an inner spring mechanism built into the top of the cap. The trim, including the cap band featuring the skyline of Florence, is palladium plated and nickel free.

It is recommended that you fill this pen by removing the converter and filling it directly from the ink bottle, or using a tool like the Pineider Snorkel Filler, to avoid getting ink in the grip section. The grip can be cleaned out, but it's a much less messy experience if you avoid filling the nib via submersion.

The Avatar UR Demo sports a rhodium plated #6 steel nib with a new futuristic Pineider logo engraved on it and arrives in Pineider's standard green "writing desk" box with stationery samples.
