Beautiful marcasite stud earrings - Please read descriptionSo, here's what happened A vintage bracelet broke and these beautiful pieces were left. Rather than re string them, I made them into stud earrings. It felt right as if these pieces were meant to be studs from the start. They also look beautiful when worn. However, it's important to note two things: 1) To make them sturdy, I used an epoxy clay to apply the studs. You CAN see the epoxy but only on the back so only you can see it when you take them off.

So, here's what happened...

A vintage bracelet broke and these beautiful pieces were left. Rather than re-string them, I made them into stud earrings. It felt right - as if these pieces were meant to be studs from the start. They also look beautiful when worn.

However, it's important to note two things:

1) To make them sturdy, I used an epoxy clay to apply the studs. You CAN see the epoxy but only on the back so only you can see it when you take them off.

2) Each element has 4 holes from being strung. I positioned these holes on the top and bottom of the earrings so it's a little harder to see them on the side when worn. You still might be able to see them a little bit but most likely your hair will be blocking the side view a bit and even if the holes are seen, I think it adds to the character of upcycling vintage elements.
