He would bring back bottles of Tequila from craft producers in the region — a tradition picked up by the next generation. In 2014 the Luna family teamed up with family friend Phil Salvagio to bring the Tequila to a wider audience. That’s how the line of four premium CaliFino Tequilas was born.
As you would expect, CaliFino Tequila Blanco starts with 100% Weber Blue Agave grown in the rich red soils of Los Altos. The hard-harvested piñas are slow roasted for two full days in a stone oven and fermented for three using natural yeasts. This classic Blanco is double-distilled and bottled fresh at 40% ABV.
