WBEX12MF-KIT017

This kit contains:

  • 1 x Water Butt Extension 1/2" BSP (EXTENSION12BSPM-F)
  • 1 x Nut (BUTT12BSPM-NUT)
  • 2 x Washers (BUTT12BSPM-WASHER)
  • 1 x Extended Brass Chrome Tap with 1/2" Barb (GTBIB12B001CH-LONG)

The water butt extension connector is a versatile accessory designed to enhance the functionality of your water butt or rain barrel. Featuring a BSP male thread on one end and a BSP female thread on the other, this connector provides a convenient 50mm outwards extension. This extension allows for easier access to the water stored in your barrel, making it easier to fill watering cans or attach a hose for example. This enhances the overall usability of your rainwater harvesting system.

The device has a 1/2" BSP thread size which fits a 21mm hole. For installation, the connector can be effortlessly screwed into existing female threads on your container. This is an ideal solution if your water butt already has pre-installed threads. However, if your barrel lacks a pre-existing thread, the connector can still be installed by creating a hole in the desired location. Once installed, the connector extends outward by 50mm, providing ample space for attaching hoses or filling containers.

The Back Nut and Washers in this kit are used to secure the water butt extension to a water butt. The back nut provides a secure lock, ensuring that the fitting remains in place even under pressure. The Back Nut and Washers combination is easy to install and remove, making it a practical choice for both temporary and permanent setups. The robust construction of these components ensures durability and longevity, even in demanding environments.

The washers in this set play a crucial role in distributing the load evenly across the surface, which helps in preventing any potential damage or deformation that might occur during the tightening process. Additionally, the washer provides an effective seal, minimizing the risk of leaks and ensuring a watertight connection. This feature is particularly important in applications involving fluids, as it helps maintain the integrity of the system and prevents wastage.

The garden cross bib tap is a robust and reliable tool designed to facilitate efficient water management in your garden. Constructed from high-quality nickel-plated brass, this tap combines exceptional strength and durability, ensuring long-lasting performance in various outdoor conditions. The nickel plating adds a layer of protection against corrosion.
Featuring a 1/2" BSP male inlet thread, this garden lever tap is easy to install into an existing set up with matching thread size. The 1/2" hose barb outlet is specifically designed to secure the hose firmly, thanks to its precision-engineered barbs. These barbs grip the inside of the hose tightly, creating a secure connection that effectively prevents leaks and accidental disconnections. This ensures a consistent water flow, allowing for smooth and uninterrupted garden watering tasks.

The quarter-turn control offers simple and convenient operation, enabling you to easily regulate water flow with a single movement. This user-friendly design enhances the tap's practicality, making it an essential tool for gardeners seeking reliability and ease of use. Whether you are watering plants, filling up a watering can, or cleaning outdoor spaces, the garden lever tap provides a dependable solution for all your garden watering needs.
This tap benefits from an 8cm extended length. This extended length allows for enhanced functionality by providing a more comfortable and practical experience when using the faucet.

Please note, this kit is not sold with PTFE Tape. Tape will need to be purchased separately.

They're okay, but they're quite bulky.
I liked the design and overall application of these, but they don't fit my needs. They definitely work well at protecting my hands from freezing weather, but they are way too bulky for regular motorcycle use. In my opinion, I feel that these would be much more suited for a snowmobile or ATV. If you treat them as what they’re mostly designed for — ATV/snow-related riding or cold-weather utilitarian use — these gloves are a solid buy. They deliver warmth, weather protection, and decent control through the TPU windows. But if you put them on a fast street motorcycle or expect “motorcycle-glove” levels of control and feel — they’ll likely disappoint or even pose safety trade-offs. In that context, lighter and more control-oriented gloves would probably serve you better. The reason I'm docking stars is because they're marketed toward motorcycle users, and they;re very impractical. The durability seems pretty good, as I've taken them out and even had a couple of rocks/road debris hit the TPU windows with no scratches or punctures. They're not super comfortable to use at highway speeds, especially since they fit so loose, and they tend to press my front brake/clutch which is very dangerous. I personally cannot recommend this product for motorcycle use, unless you already have handguards, which will probably negate the need for these at all. Invest in some good heated gloves and/or heated grips, and I think you'll be much safer and better off in the end. For the price, I think this is a good value, but they're just not for me.

All ATV owners need these.
These gloves are fabulous. Anybody having fun on a ATV need these. With my hand warmer and these gloves, I don’t wear anything else on my hands. They are great.

handlebar mittens
Too big. If using during snow plowing they are a burden due to need to take hands off controls, and shift from forward to reverse. Might be okay if just riding around on trails, etc.

Good quality, not great on clutch
The quality of these is very good. They break the wind very well. Too well, actually. On my bike when going above 60 MPH they press hard enough on the clutch to be a problem. I'm sure I'll still use them but they won't be of any value on the interstate. It's possible to hold the clutch while using them but, for me at least, I don't have the strength to do it for my 45 minute commute. Unfortunately, the openings seem to fold up making it difficult to get gloved hands into them quickly, which is my reason for subtracting a star.
