Adding to our budget range, the MimiQ, is a 3d printed pinna set, based upon the SR3D ears, these are easy to dust clean, these are not intended for oils, lotions or liquids, but can be used in addition of the other SR3D binaural microphones for another unique sound, ideal for tapping and scratching sounds, they come with removable fluffies in various colours. An ideal outdoor binaural microphone for the aspiring field recordist. Very light weight and easy to carry if walking or hiking for example.

We are hoping to introduce a beginners page with the budget mics with what we believe are excellent audio recorders, and to include all what you need except for a memory card, and batteries.

The MimiQ is a plugin power type of mic that works with many devices, this is not a phantom powered mic, so won't work with XLR inputs, only 3.5mm mic inputs, check to see if your recorder has the option to turn on plugin power in the menu if you are unsure.

Images shown have an optional mini extendable tripod installed, it is not included with the MimiQ.
