Incredible vintage Comme des Garcons dress from Spring/Summer 2002, shown here documented on the runway. This piece is absolutely magical. An off-white medium weight cotton dress with a fitted bodice, fixed waist, and an extra full skirt with zipper closure at the side. Attached at the extremely low scooping neckline- a dramatic and statement making collar that features a simple layer of sheer white tulle with a more stiff layer of sheer white fabric that is trimmed in bright white lace embroidery. The collar can be popped up behind the neck for an extra styled look, or pulled down above the shoulders almost like a shawl. Two satin ribbons span the chest, one in bright white and the other in jet black, and can be tied a multitude of ways to adjust the styling of the collar. Pair this with your favorite black leather mary-janes and enhance the skirt's fullness with a crinoline underneath for the ultimate demure meets edgy look.
