The grab bar unit measures 36 inches in width by 54 inches in depth and is 1-1/2 inches in diameter. Durable, 18-gauge stainless steel tubing is used in the design and finished by brushing the metal to create a satin look. This finish will show less fingerprinting than other types of finishes, while still offering an attractive, clean-looking sheen. The grab bar unit features end flanges that measure 2 inches by 3-1/8 inches and intermediate flanges that are 2-5/8 inches by 3-1/8 inches in size. All of the flanges are made of type-304 stainless steel plates that are 1/8 of an inch thick. Stainless steel flange covers snap onto each mounting plate to keep the mounting hardware out of sight to limit the risk of tampering.
