18K White Gold Art Deco Old European Cut Diamond Engagement Ring

This 18k white gold diamond ring has all the classic elements of a beautiful Art Deco ring. The .55 carat Old European Cut diamond is held in a square setting surrounded by open work, creating the appearance that the entire setting is square. The diamond is bead set and surrounded by floats, which are framed by another square setting decorated with milgrain. The carriage is concave, folding into a triangular shape that gives the ring a delicate geometric quality. The carriage has the filigree work that the Art Deco era is known for, that extends along the sides of the ring and narrows down into a thin band with scrolling foliate details. 

The natural antique Old European Cut diamonds has a nice open culet, is VS1 in clarity and I-J in color and 5.25 mm in diameter. It is .55 of a carat. The ring is marked as 18k gold. It weighs 2.3 grams. The square face of the ring measures 5/16” x 5/16”. The band has a width of 1 mm x 1.3 mm.
