Basics of knitting pattern writing workshop with tutor, Sarah Hatton
Friday 25th September 2026 | 10.15am - 4.15pm
Amending a pattern/basics of pattern writing/Design your own knit – Attendees are encouraged to bring along their old favourite pattern which they would like to amend or a garment (handmade or shop bought) they like and we will look at the basics of how a knitting pattern is written, helping you to alter sweaters to cardigans or neck shaping or start to write your own pattern.
There are 10 places on this workshop.
What you'll need
- You will need to bring a calculator, pencil, note pad and if there is a particular yarn that you would like to make a project in, bring a ball of this and a 10cm tension square. Also please bring a selection of knitting needles.
What's Included?
- Refreshments and lunch will be provided on the day. The workshop takes place at the Black Sheep Craft Barn in Warrington.
Email specific dietary requirements to [email protected] at least 7 days prior to the workshop. Amendments after this date are chargeable.
- A special 10% discount is also included. This can be used once in store, exclusions include workshops, gift cards, tea shop and colour packs.
- Once purchased you will receive confirmation and more information via email.
N.B. Sometimes due to circumstances beyond our control workshops and events may be cancelled. At which point the cost of your workshop will be fully refunded. We cannot be held liable for any travel costs incurred.
Please note: All cancellations incur a £10 admin fee and if you cancel within 14 days of the workshop, you will be charged the full cost.
