Since these red Spinel look similar to Rubies, and are found in the same locations, it was impossible until the late 19th century to distinguish between the two when X-Ray tests proved the difference. It was found that many historical “Rubies” were later determined to actually be Spinel. The name comes from the Greek word, “spinther,” meaning “sparkling.” The folklore rumored metaphysical properties of Spinel depend on its color:
- Black Spinel may spark independence; Grey Spinel may be good for communication; Green Spinel may inhibit fear; Pink Spinel may foster love; Peach Spinel may build self-esteem; Red Spinel may increase vitality and confidence. Spinel is found in Burma, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Tanzania, and Afghanistan.

Great for Sensitive Skin

I have very sensitive skin and have tried everything to try and prevent rosacea flairs. I recently came across this brand and I absolutely love this recover cream. I consider this now the holy Grail for Rosacea and sensitive skin. It makes my skin feel hydrated and non-reactive. It is soothing and I just cannot get enough of it. It is pricy but it is worth it to not have my face constantly feeling like its burning or irritated.

I have sensitive skin that is constantly getting irritated by moisturizers/seemingly simple skin care products. I read a few blogs/articles/reviews on different products others have tried for similar issues and this one came up, so I decided to give it a try. It’s nice and light and goes on smoothly. Skin feels moisturized and does not get irritated, so that’s a win! The only reason I took off 1 star is it leaves my skin a bit oily for my liking, but that could just be my skin.
