The sensor is compatible with almost all GARDENA multi-channel controllers and programmers. Due to its compact size, the battery-powered soil moisture sensor can not only be used in lawns or flower areas, but is also suitable for smaller flower pots.

To ensure that the sensor does not interfere with lawn care, it has a particularly low height and a flat surface: both lawn mowers and cutting robots can easily pass over the sensor. The five meter long connection cable allows for flexible installation and can be extended as required with an extension cable available as an accessory.

To give you an overview of your irrigation, you can view the sensor readings on the connected water control. A low battery level of the two AA batteries is indicated on both the irrigation control and the LED in the battery compartment. The batteries should last approximately one year in operation. In this way, the soil moisture sensor can always work reliably to ensure on-demand irrigation and water savings.

  • You can set the sensor switching point on the connected Water Control. The measured soil moisture is displayed on the screen in the form of water droplets. If your products are connected to the GARDENA Bluetooth App, you can see the settings and display there.

  • The low level of battery charge is indicated both on the Water Control and on the LED in the battery compartment. This allows you to replace the battery in time and ensures continued reliable operation.
