The 102mm achromatic doublet with 1000mm focal length at f/9.8 is optimized for high-contrast planetary and lunar views. The long focal ratio is forgiving of eyepiece quality and produces tight, well-corrected star images. Fully multi-coated optics and a built-in dew shield keep images bright and flare-free.
The EXOS Nano EQ3 mount adds what alt-az mounts cannot: once polar-aligned, objects drift out of the field in only one axis, and the dual slow-motion control cables let you make precise corrections with a light touch. This makes high-magnification planetary observation far more comfortable and opens the door to smartphone astrophotography with longer exposures.
