This set pays homage to the original crafted by Jaques of London between 1856 and 1862, named after Adolf Anderssen, the celebrated German chess master of the Romantic Era. Renowned for his brilliant attacking style, Anderssen left an indelible mark on chess history, famously playing "The Immortal Game" and "The Evergreen Game."
This set is inspired by the Staunton design standards of the 1850s and 1860s, featuring the legendary "Drop Jaw" knight with its striking open-mouthed carving.
