Takara Tomy's "Transformers Missing Link" action-figure series is a virtual reprint of toys that might have existed in the original era! What if Cordon had been commercialized as a toy back them? This toy has been made with a completely new design while retaining the size, texture, and nostalgia of the original!
The size, transformation pattern, and basic structure, which uses some die-cast alloy, follow the original toy, but updated joint movements and gimmicks for posing have been included. The packaging and styrofoam tray are a thorough homage to the original style, and brings back the excitement of opening a "Transformers" product in the 1980s!
Cordon, a police car type, was born as the third car robot product, and although it was not introduced as a Transformer, its character recognition has been increasing in recent years. This item is the first to be commercialized based on the Cordon toy of the time.
The joints, which had limited posability in the original figure, have been changed to much more movable ones for easier posability. A new human/police officer type figure has has been added, which was not included at the time; both forms can be mounted in the cockpit. A plated speed trap gun, the same type included with Lambo, is included; in addition, the punch-firing gimmick has been eliminated, and instead the fist has been updated to a fully transformable specification that stores inside the arm. A large attachable punch is also included, allowing you to reproduce the original specifications.
The familiar "secret emblem" is also attached to the robot body, and the legion mark appears when you warm it with your fingers! The parts that were stickers applied to the toy at the time are now reproduced with relief molding and paint (stickers are also included that you can attached if you like). A joint hole for the stand (sold separately) has been added on the back, so it can be displayed in action poses, and the package illustration is a new drawing inspired by the image of the original release; a collection card featuring the same illustration is also included.
